Ms. Todd teaches kindergarten at Buffalo Academy. Tammy has eleven years of experience as an educator, having worked with kindergarten through seventh grades.
When not teaching, Tammy loves being with her family, traveling, and reading with a good cup of coffee. Tammy holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Texas Woman's University..
Ms. Beasley is an assistant teacher at Buffalo Academy, bringing over twenty years of experience as an educator to our school. During her career, Lynn has worked in classrooms with children ranging in age from four (4) to fourteen (14).
Lynn and her husband love to fish and enjoy the beauty of the North Carolina mountains. Lynn attended Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mrs. Upper teaches first grade at Buffalo Academy. She has taught several different grades over her twenty-five-year career as an educator.
Lisa likes to relax by traveling with her family, working in her garden, and acting in local theater productions. She received her undergraduate degree in elementary education from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Lisa also holds two master’s degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in School Administration and in Library and Information Studies.
Miss Elliott is a first year teacher at Buffalo Academy and is teaching 2nd grade. She received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.
Tatum loves to adventure to new places, try out different coffee shops, and play volleyball!
Mrs. Smith teaches third grade at Buffalo Academy. For more than 20 years, Elizabeth has worked as a leadership and professional development trainer, school wide tutor, and substitute teacher at Buffalo Academy and other private schools.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and volunteering at her church. She graduated with her BS in Political Science and Sociology from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas.
Ms. Barham teaches music to all students at Buffalo Academy. She has 18 years of experience ranging from the toddler to high school levels, teaching band, choir, and general music.
Marla earned her BA in Music Education from Bethel University, Indiana and is also active in her church as the children’s and adult choir director, and praise band member. Any free time is spent on her farm, traveling or singing with her husband Zac and her three grown children.
Ms. Zelaya is an art teacher at Buffalo Academy, bringing 12 years of experience as an artist and designer to our school. During her career, Noemi has worked as an art director, designer, illustrator, and painting instructor.
When not at work, she is often putting her craft skills to good use building impressive and elaborate piñatas. As a hobby gardener and aspiring horticulturalist, Noemi loves collecting and caring for exotic plants. She is a member at Redeemer Church in Greensboro and teaches in the children's ministry.
